The Mount Scopus Botanical Garden is an important ecological center housing plants that represent the various flora regions in Israel. The garden serves as a beautiful living exhibit of Israel's vegetation and environment for research and study purposes, as well as a haven for plants that are rare or in danger of extinction. Also on the site is the sarcophagus of Nikanor of Alexandria who donated brass doors to the Holy Temple.
